Lyon-Strolling in Bellecour. Act I
My friend and I got dropped somewhere in Lyon and were told to look for Bellecour.
We found it and loved it.
Nothing like walking with no fixed purpose with your nose in the air, tasting the air, marvelling at the architecture, shooting away and having a good chat with your friend.
Nothing like being in a place you've never been or felt before.

Lyon-The Arrival.
Last month I went to Lyon to visit some friends.
I sorely needed a change of scenery and those three days were highly therapeutic.
Going to the airport to actually fly somewhere, rather than to just pick someone up was a treat.
I usually hate flying, but on that day, it never felt better.
Sometimes you don't have to fly to the other side of the world to feel different.
To smell different fragrances, hear different sounds, see different colors and shapes and be prompted to think along different paths.
To leave something behind you and be yourself.
Or a version of yourself. Or simply the yourself you had forgotten about.
I felt as if I was peering through a shop window.
A shop window full of delights.
I used a compact camera to take these holiday shots. It was fun.
Just fun.
